Ms. Zandile Matiwaza is the Chief Human Resources Executive at BRICS Africa Women Foundation. She also serves as the Vice President of the Africa Grain & Seed Association, Chairs the BRICS WBA Zimbabwe Country Centre, and Heads the Food Security Joint Working Group of BRICS Women’s Business Alliance South Africa. Over the past eight years, Ms. Matiwaza, a seasoned executive and board member, has excelled in integrating strategies to address Africa’s food insecurity by fostering collaboration between Africa and global markets. Previously, as CFO of Goldstone & Co., she specialized in agricultural procurement, financing, and distribution in the SADC region. Additionally, Ms. Matiwaza is the Founder and Executive Director of Africa Women’s Bank.

Her career began with supplying agricultural inputs to various African countries, including the Democratic Republic of Congo, Zambia, South Africa, Malawi, and Zimbabwe. Her expertise spans strategic planning, financial modelling, procurement, logistics, and people management. She advocates for a smart rural agriculture ecosystem, promoting collaboration across governments, suppliers, contractors, growers, logistics, banking, and storage entities. Ms. Matiwaza is dedicated to enhancing Africa’s GDP through sustainable agriculture and technology, focusing on rural development to uplift communities and foster inclusivity in the agriculture and banking sectors.

As the Chief Human Resources Executive at BRICS Africa Women Foundation, Ms. Matiwaza plays a vital role in talent acquisition, employee development, and cultivating a positive work culture aligned with the foundation’s goals. She promotes diversity, inclusion, and gender equality within the workforce, ensuring the team embodies the values it upholds. Her strategic HR management greatly enhances the foundation’s ability to attract and retain talent, driving its mission to empower women and advance Africa’s economic growth.
