Dr. Bandile Hadebe, Chief Partnerships Executive at BRICS Africa Women Foundation and a Co-Chair of the Healthcare Joint Working Group of BRICS Women’s Business Alliance representing South Africa, brings a wealth of experience in healthcare, technology, policy formulation, and entrepreneurship. In his current capacities, he leads as the Head of Secretariat at Africa Health Indaba, participates as a member of the ANC National Executive Committee’s Subcommittee on Health & Education, and holds the prestigious position of President at Professionals League.

His leadership extends to leading the Consortium at Apollo Hospitals Group BRICS Partnership, providing advisory expertise to the board at Cipla South Africa, and founding Health Accelerator (Pty) Ltd and Eta Data (Pty) Ltd. Dr. Hadebe is actively engaged in various healthcare and education councils and subcommittees, showcasing his commitment to advancing these critical sectors.

In his previous roles, Dr. Hadebe served as a Portfolio Executive at Telkom-BCX in the Healthcare Vertical, contributed as a member of the Ministerial Strategic Technical Committee on Covid-19, and was part of the Microsoft Health Advisory Council. He has been involved in national healthcare planning and development, held executive positions in leading technology and healthcare organizations, and served as a Commissioner at the Cuba-South Africa Joint Bilateral Commission. Earlier in his career, he worked as a Medical Doctor at McCord’s Hospital, KZN Department of Health, and held leadership positions in professional associations like the Junior Doctors’ Association.

Additionally, Dr. Hadebe has contributed significantly to the advancement of healthcare and technology ecosystems through his roles in the National Surgical Obstetric Anesthesia Planning, the National Health Insurance ANC Task Team, and the 25 Years of Democracy Review Task Team. He has also played a key part in shaping the digital landscape as the Managing Executive at Human Insights in Platform Business & Verticals, and as a Co-Chair of the India-Brazil-South Africa Information Society Working Group. His expertise extends to strategic advisory roles, including serving as a Special Advisor in the CEO’s Office at the State Information Technology Agency and as Director of Planning and Foresight at the Presidential National Commission on Information Society and Development. Dr. Hadebe’s multifaceted career reflects his commitment to driving innovation, policy excellence, and inclusive growth across various sectors.
